How to Submit Documents Online for the Texas Concealed Handgun License CHL
For several years a person could apply online for their Texas CHL. Until recently the CHL applicants had one option for submitting a certificate of training and other documents.
Prior to September 1 2013, an applicant had to mail these items to Texas Department of Public Safety, but now they can be submitted in PDF format directly to Texas DPS. This saves the CHL applicant several days on the processing time of new and renewal applications.
