In this video , I have discussed the EARLIER command or EARLIER function in DAX , and how it is used in the nested row context on the same table.
Also, I have also discussed about the EARLIEST command in DAX, and important points to remember about nested row contexts, when used on the same table.
Remember the following points:
EARLIER is used to access the outer row context when there are multiple row contexts.
EARLIER command also has a second parameter, which defines the number of scope level of the row context to skip.
EARLIEST command helps you to access the outer most scope or row context
EARLIER function is handy, but using variables would be a better choice to write the code in case of multiple row contexts as they provide more readability of the code.
