Assassin's Creed Black Flag is the perfect balance between a fun open world pirate game and an assassin's creed game with all the elements and mechanics the series was known for. Assassin's Creed Black Flag was able to balance and bring together hardcore and casual Assassin's Creed fans and leave most people satisfied. Assassin's Creed Origins was able to achieve something very similar which makes a lot of sense considering it was worked on by the same team. Valhalla and Odyssey could definitely take an example from Assassin's Creed Black Flag on how to make the AC lore and universe tie in well with a popular theme/setting like pirates.
