In this video we will demo how Azure SQL Managed Instance link (short MI link) can be used to create read-only database replicas of a database hosted on SQL Server.

In general Link feature for Azure SQL Managed Instance offers near real-time data replication from SQL Server to Azure SQL Managed Instance or vice-versa. MI link can be used in read scale-out scenarios, and also in hybrid disaster-recovery scenarios, between SQL Server hosted anywhere and Azure SQL Managed Instance link. MI link can also be used for migration of databases from SQL Server to Azure SQL Managed Instance.
