Spectacular #projectionmapping on the Minor Basilica (Bazylika Mniejsza) in Gorlice, Poland.
Produced in 2018 by award-winning studio https://mediacraft.video @projectionmapping, this visual masterpiece combines high-end motion graphics, architectural deconstruction, and frame-accurate sound design to bring a Neo-Renaissance monument to life.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Using advanced 3D scanning and warping technology, we transformed the static architecture into a dynamic canvas. The show takes the audience on a journey through history, sci-fi abstraction, and mechanical transformation.
CHURCH ARCHITECTURE & HISTORY
The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Bazylika Mniejsza pw. Narodzenia NMP) was the only temple in Gorlice until 1983.
Style: Neo-Renaissance (1875–1890) designed by Franciszek Pavoni & Maksymilian Nitsch.
History: Heavily damaged in WWI (see 00:50), rebuilt 1920–1931.
Facade: Features sculptures of the four Evangelists (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) and the inscription "GORLICENSES VIRGINI DEIPARAE" (Gorlice to the Virgin Mother of God).
