The negotiations in New York regarding Cyprus are truly a dance of wolves. On one side is the United Nations Secretary-General Gali, on the other is the Greek Cypriot leader Vasiliou, and opposite them is our seemingly endless Denktaş. But these are just the figures on stage; when you look behind the scenes, you see everyone: Washington, Britain, Greece, and Ankara, which is hesitant to even appear. Public opinion also demands a solution to the Cyprus problem. Both in Türkiye and in the Turkish Cypriot region, people are saying, "Let whatever happens, happen, and let this be over." Of course, it's easy to say this, but when you ask what price and how much they are willing to give, everyone has a different opinion. Indeed, the Cyprus negotiations have become so complicated that it's all a blur to know who wants what, what is being given, and what is not being given. Let's open this file by first looking at what is or isn't what.
