Hey !
I am now optimistic about this saw...that has been on hold since I got it early last summer. When I got it...it had spark...but now I had to sand the contacts and the points...to get spark back. It almost startet...when tested it...back than. Now..I finally got new piston and rings from e-bay...via US. Cleaned carburetor and rebuilt it...changed fuel line. Still...it does not run continuesly. Need to try further...with regulating needle arm..and might change needle seat or replace the carburetor...with a modified brand new one...or from an other saw.I belive I will have it operational...and I have the saw complete. A rare saw on 77 CC...and 60 years ! old.
I think there is check valve in the carburetor... but as I understand...hard to find. However...I think it is the needle seat and the hight of the needle arm...that is the culprit...now. Might also been a blockade in carburetor...but after air blow with compressor air pistol...I think that is not a problem. A rewash with clean new solvent in ultrasonic cleaner...could also be an option to try. Need to have patience and i guess the will...passion...:-). However...easy to take the carburetor out and in...on this model...and HL carburetors are easy to work on. But change the check valve....and there is different types as i understand or different montage type of them...is might a little difficult or crave more insight and orientation/ education of self...learn from other youtubers...if you understand what i mean. Ok If success...of course sooner or later... I make more clip of this saw.
