Alika Kinan's story is like that of many other girls, but it also has a unique twist: she survived.
She survived a trafficking ring that captured her when she was just a teenager and took her south to what had been described as "the opening of a nightclub." On the first night, countless men penetrated her while providing her with alcohol and ice to help her endure longer.
This horror lasted for almost two decades, during which Alika's perception of herself, her desires, intentions, and wills shifted. In her own vulnerability, she was unable to recognize herself as a victim of the crime of trafficking and returned again and again to her captors for help.
A unique story, perhaps one of the most powerful ever published in this format, which will surely help us educate ourselves and reflect. I hope you watch it in its entirety (yes, it's longer than usual), but I swear it's worth it!
