Personal Health Train
The huge amounts of data involved in modern health research can’t possibly be managed within one centralized database. Information and data from research, hospital data repositories and government databases need to be disclosed and linked together. It raises all kinds of questions, also about standardization and privacy.
Researchers found a way to give access to various health-datasources, without sharing data in a central database. They named it the ‘Personal Health Train’ (PHT). The train is taking the research question to the data rather than the data to the research question.
