Hello, friends!

My name is Liliya, and you've reached Liliya Redfox's channel.

In today's video, I want to tell you how much money we need to live in Germany. I got the idea for this after a comment under a video about grocery prices in Germany. The commenter wrote that prices in their country are the same, but salaries are 400-500 euros. He also added that he was curious about salaries in Germany.

I think information about salaries in Germany can be easily found online. Today, I'd like to tell you more about how refugees live in Germany on benefits from the employment center (or, as they call it here, Jobcenter).

First, I want to tell you about the mandatory payments we make each month.
The amount we receive is easy to find out. If you're interested, you can watch the video at the link -    • Германия повысит пособие по безработице на...

I'll just briefly say that there are four of us: two adults, one 16-year-old child, and one 13-year-old child.

The monthly mandatory payments are:
Internet
Mobile phone top-ups
Car insurance
Accident insurance, specifically called Civil Liability Insurance -    • Страхование гражданской ответственности  /...

Now, let's take a look at standard monthly household cleaning supplies. I spent 60 euros per month on average. Obviously, it's difficult to calculate with 100% accuracy, as you might need some non-standard items that aren't necessary to buy every month.

Next, let's consider school expenses. Children go on occasional field trips. One recent trip to the trampolines cost about 40 euros per child.

Also, school supplies: for example, one notebook costs 0.75 cents (1 euro), pens, pencils, planing paper costs 2.50 euros, erasers, etc. – on average, the monthly cost per child can be 7-10 euros.

Next, we can consider kitchen essentials. For example, we need to buy a new frying pan from time to time – 15-20 euros, pots 10-15 euros, or, for example, we needed a mixer – 25 euros. We also need some utensils, like a bowl, whisk, spatulas, plates, cups, etc.

We also have a cat. The cat needs food (dry and wet food), litter, vitamins, etc.

Clothing. This is another expense. It's difficult to plan accurately. But since we arrived with just one bag per person, we naturally have to buy everything from scratch each season. While we've accumulated a lot at home over the years and only needed a few updates from time to time, here we have to buy everything. So, we're spending a lot of money on clothes now.

Pills - Pharmacy For example, recently our son got sick with a very high fever. We bought him Grippostad cold tablets (24 capsules) for 12 euros, Prospan cough syrup for about 10 euros, Paracetamol (20 tablets) for 2 euros, and nasal drops for 4.99 euros. On average, it came to 30 euros. That's just for the most common cold.
