These track systems are often installed in motorhomes or vans to attach tie-down straps or simply to have a more flexible eyelet in the right location.
Every standard airline track fitting consists of several parts: locking pin, spring, base, and eyelet. The base unit is available in different versions, e.g., aluminum or plastic. I recommend aluminum for outdoor use because it's UV resistant, and plastic for indoor use because it's quieter and less prone to scratching.
Please note that after inserting the locking pin into a hole, it must be pushed to the right or left into a crossbar. Only then can the base unit also fall into the holes with its feet and lock into place.
You don't actually need to worry about the load limit of the fittings, as the weak point is usually the lashing rail and its anchoring in the ground. Fittings can easily withstand a tensile load of 500–1,000 kg.
Once again, this is very important: Please insert the fitting correctly; otherwise, it won't lock and will slip out of the rail while driving.
