Vancouver gymnast Scott Morgan has earned Canada's its first spot in a men's individual event world championship final in seven years, qualifying seventh in the floor routine in a field of 137 competitors. The last Canadian male gymnast to reach an event final in the sport's biggest competition outside of the Olympics was 2004 Olympic champion Kyle Shewfelt who won bronze on floor at the 2006 worlds in Aarhus, Denmark.
