In this lecture the 2nd part of 2 parts, Tom Stephenson discusses Residential Foundations, the substructure of houses. Footings, Foundations, Damp proofing and Water proofing and the different types of methods and materials are discussed. As well connections and references are made to the National Building Code of Canada and the Ontario Building Code. This lecture utilizes information found in the Understanding Construction Drawings for Housing and Small Buildings written by Tom Stephenson. It also references the Canadian Wood-Frame Construction book produced by CMHC.
