Welcome to the Shemyakin+O channel, a fishing passion. We're back in the same place, maybe at a different time, on the shore of Lake Shchuchye, where another fishermen's meeting is taking place. But first, a little information about D+OBR's work over the past week. Last week, the Akbula District Voluntary Fishermen's Society (D+OBR) conducted its now-regular security and monitoring raids, baited the lake for fish, and delivered several trailers of sand to one of the beaches. All of this was done voluntarily. The decision to improve one of the beaches was made to create more comfortable conditions for fish feeding, as launching watercraft, such as boats, was done knee-deep in mud, creating certain inconveniences. They decided to take sand from the former floodplain of the Ilek River, where someone had already been mining. In addition to delivering sand, Anastasia Berdnikova planted several trees and willow bushes to green the shoreline of the Shchuka River. Finally, the society acquired an electric boat, on which the society's chairman, Dmitry Melnikov, gave us a ride and answered several questions about DOBRA's activities.
And now, back to our meeting. This time, quite a few fishing enthusiasts gathered on the lake shore. Among them were not only men, but also several women and one novice fisherman. Fifteen people joined the ranks of DOBRA that day. Since the meeting was incomplete, and its membership currently stands at 113, it was decided to consider this gathering a continuation of the meeting held on May 16th. The discussion agenda included lake monitoring and duty assignments, the distribution of society membership cards, and a demonstration of a newly acquired watercraft for various events held directly on the water. Issues of authority, informational work among fishing enthusiasts, and the prevention of the use of mass fishing equipment were discussed. It was also worth noting that Shchuchye Lake is becoming a safe place to spend time, as there is always someone on the lake, and you will not be left unattended.
