These are my top 4 Excel Shortcuts for Beginners and I'm calling them my "gateway shortcuts".
From the beginning of your Excel learning journey and forever thereafter, you'll need to know how to navigate around a workbook.
Being able to do that without having to grab the mouse every single time you need to scroll around a data set or jump to a new tab builds confidence, and confidence in Excel is paramount to progress.
1) Move tabs right/left use Ctrl + PgDn / PgUp
2) Rapid navigation around dataset Ctrl + Direction keys
3) Activate dropdown menu Alt + Down arrow
4) Clear filters Alt A C

Remove Gridlines in Excel
Do you ever color all the cells in a worksheet white just to remove the gridlines?
If you do, you should stop! Because there's a better way!
In this quick example, I show you how to quickly remove gridlines by either using the keyboard shortcut Alt W V G, or you can navigate to the View tab, Show section, and uncheck the "Gridlines" box. It's that easy!
