The Spare Room Project - breaking down barriers to entry to publishing
The Spare Room Project is a publishing industry initiative which matches interns/people doing work experience with those working in the publishing and wider book industry who can offer them a spare room or a spare bed for free for one week.
To date the project has helped over 70 people find free accommodation for their placements. BUT… it urgently needs more hosts from within the publishing industry to meet demand for spare beds/sofas. In a recent survey, almost 40% of users said it would have been impossible for them to take up their placement without the help of the project. Can you help?
