I am not really sure where to begin when it comes to expressing how it feels to have donned a fake smile for so long. It is in thanks to @BOMISpirit that I was even able to come to this realization. For so long I have presented myself not as I truly am and then wondered why I was not connecting deeply to others or finding tribe. Well, I am grateful to say that as I am writing this I am not smiling, I am not putting on a face, or dumbing myself down. I am opening myself up to be seen & judged and grateful because it will be for who I really am.
