The Retro Port is a special adapter for the SNES/Super Famicom similar to the Super GameBoy, except it plays NES games.

More info about this device can be found in this video (courtesy of Satoshi Matrix).

The game tested on this console is a PAL copy of Mario and Yoshi, and is being recorded with a Dazzle.

I think this adapter was designed for use with NTSC NES games rather than PAL because I noticed the music is faster than what it was intended to be. The audio quality isn't brilliant too.

Also when I recorded this with my Dazzle, I had to record it in NTSC mode even though I was using a PAL SNES. I think that's because I had to connect the RCA Cable from the cartridge and it puts out it's own signal.

If I had another adapter I could play Japanese Famicom games on this thing but I would rather not make my SNES balance a big tower of cartridges.

Also available is the Retro Gen which adapts MegaDrive and Genesis games onto a SNES, but it doesn't allow you to play 32X and MegaCD games, and I don't know if it'll allow you to use a Power Base Converter to play Master System games on it.
