In this edition of Talk With A Doc, we’re breaking down an important women’s health topic that many may not fully understand — post-menopausal bleeding.

Menopause is typically defined as going one full year without a menstrual period, usually in a woman’s 40s or 50s. But doctors say any bleeding after that point could be a warning sign that shouldn’t be ignored.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has released new guidelines on post-menopausal bleeding (PMB), helping patients and providers better understand when to seek care.

Joining us is Dr. Stephanie Hack, who explains what these new recommendations mean, what symptoms to watch for, and when to talk to your doctor.

CTV News also thanks Dr. Hack for one year as our first official in-house doctor, helping educate and empower women in Prince George’s County and beyond.
