A powerful, extensible, and smart proxy server with advanced caching and a built-in web dashboard.
Originally built as a Computer Networking project simulation, now upgraded into a practical tool you can actually use in real networks.
🔥 WHAT IS CACHECAUGHT?
CacheCaught is a Python-based HTTP/HTTPS proxy server with:
1. 🔁 HTTP/HTTPS proxying
2. 🧠 Multi-strategy caching:
In-memory cache (thread-safe)
Redis-backed cache
LRU (Least Recently Used) cache with size limit
3. ♻️ Automatic request retries with backoff
4. 🚫 Domain blacklisting
5. 🧹 Content-type filtering (e.g., block images/videos to save bandwidth)
6. 🔐 Basic proxy authentication (username/password)
7. 📊 Web dashboard to monitor cached URLs and activity
