we have two Copeland scroll compressors, model ZR 48, that are damaged. One is mechanically damaged and the other is damaged both mechanically and electrically. These compressors are set up with inverters, but the frequency of the inverter is lower than the allowed frequency for Copeland compressors. When the compressor starts with the wrong frequency, it can cause problems with lubrication, leading to corrosion and coil burnout. This can also cause excessive vibration and noise in the compressor.

The mechanical corrosion of the bushs can also cause problems with the fixed and moving scrolls. Corrosion at the bottom of the scrolls can prevent proper compaction. Removing the moving scroll reveals that there is some corrosion on the middle bushing as well.
