The American Astronaut (2001) (highest quality available)
I am posting this because it is pretty much a (criminally) lost film at this point, at least to view in anything resembling reasonable quality. If it should ever get a reissue, in blu-ray or dvd, or can be rented on streaming services, I will take this down, assuming it lasts that long (I am hoping the creator, Cory McAbee, would prefer his film live on than be forgotten, but obviously, if whoever controls the rights objects, please contact me and this will come right down). The DVD quality was never great (in fact it sucks), for such a gorgeously shot film with such classically deep contrast, but unless you have a 35mm print (which does get shown occasionally in small theaters, keep an eye out), this is the current best possible, minus whatever compression this gets subjected to. Enjoy.
