Jess & Rory | Take What I Can Get

Welcome to the most recent cause of my death, also known as Literati. I marathoned the first six seasons of this show over Christmas break, and these two have irrevocably stolen my heart and become one of my all-time favorite OTPs, up there with Damon/Elena, Chuck/Sarah and Cappie/Casey. Without a doubt, they are the single most well-matched couple I have ever shipped. It was as though they were BUILT for each other, and there is no way that I will ever get over how they ended. They were supposed to be together, in the immortal words of Jess Mariano, and no one will convince me, ever, that their journey was over in 6x18. It was just the beginning for them, and I will forever be upset that ASP left and we'll never know what her original plan for these two were.
The most painful part of this ship is that they were SO RIGHT for each other, but their timing was so so wrong, ALWAYS. By the end of the series, it was obvious that, if they ever got back together, they would make it work. Jess' character had grown enough that he wouldn't make the same mistakes twice (don't get me started on Jess' character development because I could go on all day and all night and possibly for several weeks as well), and Rory had also matured. There was no reason why they wouldn't last this time, and it hurts me that we never got to see them together. Jess, out of all of Rory's boyfriends, deserved a second chance. I will go to my grave believing that after season seven, they got back together.
This video is also dedicated to Kaisa (who is the biggest Literati shipper I know and a flat-out amazing person) and the myriad of other people on Twitter who are just as in love with Literati as I am, including (but not limited to): Caro, Asun, Steffie, Alyssa, etc. You guys are amazing and I can't think of Literati without thinking of you guys.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video with all the pain and heartbreak. I'm definitely going to vid this ship again. I already have another one in the works, so maybe that will get done over this long weekend. It depends on how much homework I get, since I'm now back at school.
