I’m reading “Untamed” by Glennon Doyle and... holy shit, thanks to the people who have recommended it to me 😳
It’s a gorgeous book but this quote stood out to me because of the truth in it.
We keep ourselves distracted, anxious about the wrong problems, boozed up, numbed out, working our asses off... because we want to keep the snow flying around in the snow globe. Because we each have a truth anchored in our center and, often, it’s too painful to look at.

✖️This isn’t the right life for me...

I remember keeping myself shaken up with work, obsession with diet and exercise, expensive meals and constant online shopping...
Until I was forced to get really STILL. And then the truth at my center was unavoidable and I had to change my life.
I’m still doing it now. It’s a constant practice to try and be still for awhile to let the fake snow settle around me...
So if you’re doing it too... it’s ok. Just try and see it for what it is, the constant distraction and shaking up of your life...
Because the dragons in our center are pure, terrifying, glorious magic ✨
