Moscow Illuminations on the occasion of the
Coronation of Emperor Nicholas II
Moscow, May 1896
Here I present a series of original photographs from 1896 showing the Kremlin and other buildings floodlit for the Coronation of Emperor Nicholas II.
These historical photographs have seen a fair amount of wear and tear, but still provide a wonderful moment in the history of Moscow in Coronation year.

From the "Festival Coronation March" by P. Tchaikovsky.
