In this Excel tutorial, you will learn how to connect Excel to a website using Power Query and import data directly from a web page URL.

Instead of manually copying and pasting information from a website into Excel, Power Query allows you to create a connection between Excel and the web page. Once the data is imported, you can refresh the connection and update the table whenever the website changes.

In this video, I show how to use the Get Data from Web feature in Excel, enter a website URL, select a table from the page, load the data into Excel, and use that data to create reports, PivotTables, PivotCharts, and dashboards.

For this example, I use CoinMarketCap as a public website to demonstrate how web data can be imported into Excel for educational purposes.

How to import data from a website into Excel, How to use Power Query with a web page URL, How to connect Excel to online data, How to refresh website data automatically in Excel, How to turn web data into an Excel table, How to create PivotTables from imported web data, How to create PivotCharts from online data, How to build a simple Excel dashboard using website data, How to avoid manual copy and paste when working with online tables.
