The choice of a song sung by the character of Jesus is lowkey a bit crazy but pleeease walk with me on this one. I think, in a way, Kizami did think he was some sort of savior. His philosophy was that whether it was the school or him to kill his friends, the outcome is the same. Along that line, the common phrase that it’s “better the devil you know” feeds into the idea that it’s somewhat better to be him than some ghost, trap, or curse. I think he may also view it as a “favor” that he waited this long to kill them, considering that he’s always wanted to.
His classmates being the titular “Poor Jerusalem” is indicative of his perspective that they are unaware of the suffering and demise that is certain to befall them. In his own way, he is their Jesus, taking their suffering and making it his own…. not in the sense that he suffers in their place, but rather that he forges their suffering by his bare hands. He enjoys killing them lol make no mistake
Anyways I’m rambling a lot for an animatic that’s quite literally less than a minute long buuut yeah I hope you enjoyed :^) can’t wait to make another animatic in like 16 years
