How To Fix Slow Computer with SFC /scannow (Windows Update Fix)
If your computer is acting weird or Windows Update is not working properly, try this:
1. Open Command Prompt and Run as Administrator
2. Type the following in consecutive order
SFC /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
3. Restart your computer
4. If Windows Update is still not working, open command prompt again
as an Administrator and type the following in consecutive order:
SC config bits start=auto
SC config cryptsvc start=auto
SC config trustedinstaller start=auto
Windows Memory Diagnostic
gpupdate /force
5. Restart your computer and it should be back to normal. If not, you may need to scan your computer for virus or malware.
