The Magical Mastering Suites at Metropolis Studios
We visited our friends at Metropolis Studios in London and mastering engineer Mike Hillier was nice enough to take us on a tour of the mastering department.
We get to see a lot of the best mastering equipment, from compressors to EQs, to vinyl cutting machines, and even some old Windows 98 machines. Metropolis has it all.
Here are some artists that had their music mastered at the world-famous studio: The Clash, The Sex Pistols, Elton John, Madonna, Robbie Williams, Seal, Suede, Adele, The Verve, Alfie Boe, Massive Attack, Peter Gabriel, and many many more.
