My Little Pony 30th Anniversary. '30 Years of Friendship.' G1 - G4 Crossover.
As a long term fan of My Little Pony, I pulled out all the old archive footage from Hasbro, ancient video tapes and collectable ponies from thirty years ago which profoundly helped in the making of this video. This video features for the very first time: G1 and G4 ponies and villain's side-by-side.
From Dream Castle, Paradise Estate and the Pretty Parlour to Canterlot, Ponyville and the Carousel Boutique. This video was made to show the 30 year journey of My Little Pony brand, a journey I am very proud to say I followed from the start. Even if you're just a brony because of Friendship is Magic, don't be surprised to see rare snippets of G1, G3 and G3.5: as they were the stepping stones to greatness. G2 was not My Little Tales and did not have a cartoon series.

What do we know about My Little Pony 30th Anniversary so far?
Many don't know that the old cartoons were not made by Hasbro; they were made and distributed by Sunbow Production International / Marvel. So when Disney bought Marvel Productions they also gained the rights to most of the old characters. However in 2008, Hasbro bought back all their 80's shows! Lauren Faust wanted to reboot the show for this very reason.
Hasbro have yet to re-register the trademarked names of all the old characters because it's an extremely expensive process. Applejack and Spike the Dragon were the exception. After long talks and a battle to try and get retrademarking, Lauren Faust was not allowed to use all the old ponies and left working on the show soon after.
They can still bring back the old ponies for the 30th Anniversary. But -- knowing Hasbro -- they won't deem it as profitable. Bronies have mixed receptions for the older seasons and younger viewers can't have been born before the 80's anyway.
However, the fourth season of Friendship is Magic will coincide with the 30th Anniversary. Twilicorn also recently became canon all meaning that season 4 will surely change My Little Pony forever.
Hasbro has been confirmed to have 'plans' but messages from the company are mixed. Rumours suggest a whole new line of G4 ponies based on G1 ponies such as Moondancer, Sparkler and Medley. G4 are said to get a whole different set of new poses in the toy line.
Hasbro also "plans to introduce a new extension this fall called Equestria Girls" to celebrate the My Little Pony brand's thirtieth anniversary, and includes an image of the six main characters each as a pony and as a human: http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__c...
