hostname
💡 Examples:
hostname
➡️ Displays the system’s current hostname.
To check detailed information like domain and FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name):
hostname -f
To view all hostname-related configurations:
hostnamectl
📘 Explanation:
hostname → Prints the system name.
hostnamectl → Shows OS info, kernel version, and hostname details.
You can also change the hostname using:
sudo hostnamectl set-hostname newname
