Full photo engraving tutorial using Da Big Gimping plug-in for another 3d photo on painted acrylic
Tonight I’m going to walk you thru how to engrave a photo for backlighting. I’m going to be using Da Big Gimping Plug-in for Gimp to process/edit aka prepare a photo for laser engraving with co2 lasers. I’m using an Ap Lazer 4024 100w with a 2.5” lens. I’m also using lightburn to simply transfer the photo to the laser machine. I have placed a light underneath the white acrylic painted blue so we can simulate the backlighting in the real world.
