The Plummer Terrier is a working terrier. It was originally bred by Brian Plummer to hunt vermin, especially rats. The breed, while unrecognized by any kennel club, is known for its rugged determination and hardiness. These terriers were produced by mixing the Jack Russell Terrier with the Beagle, Fell Terrier, and Bull Terrier.
