2019 Mustang GT Coyote Engine Tick | Is It Fixed? *UPDATE*
2019 Mustang GT Gen 3 Coyote Engine Tick update! I recently got my 2nd oil change and wanted to see if the engine tick would come back on my Mustang GT with Gen 3 Coyote engine.
Most people experienced the Gen 3 Coyote tick after an oil change and for most people that became the new norm. Some were lucky enough to get the engine tick, but it went away on its own. It can be best described as typewrite tick or BBQ tick.
Ford has said officially that Gen 3 Coyote engine tick on Mustangs and F150s is common characteristic of the engine and nothing to worry about.
They have been wrong with the Focus DCT before and even if it is normal, it is annoying to have your brand new 2019 Mustang GT 5.0 have engine tick. I did not get the Coyote engine to hear it tick, but more like roar that V8 Mustangs are suppose to have.
