Centralized Authentication: Join a Linux machine to your AD in minutes
This video shows how to integrate a Linux workstation into an AD.
It must be said that a few years ago, it was complicated; nothing was planned for this. You had to install the security protocols, Samba, and the Samba client. Then you had to configure Samba, although that wasn't the most complicated part.
Finally, you had to establish the connection.
Now, all that's done. You still need a few tools and a few programs, but in 2x2, it's done.
There's nothing to configure, just worry about establishing the connection.
Here, what's shown is the bare minimum; we're still installing SSSD and some object management software.
We could go a lot further, but the idea here is to show how easily this can be done.
Enough to give you plenty of ideas.
