Our Sweep2Left left strategy demonstrates to the market how Maid2Clean has eliminated many of the unnecessary costs associated with many of our industry competitors and the clarity of choice that we offer our clients.
It's a really simple model and to explain it let me demonstrate a couple of analogies. First of all imagine a line in front of you. To your left demonstrates highest efficiency and lowest waste and therefore reduced cost.
To your right demonstrates extreme high-cost inclusive of unnecessary waste. Many years ago when you filled a car with fuel the process was you drove onto the forecourt. A man would walk out and greet you. You would then tell him your requirements and he would then remove your fuel cap and proceed to fill your car up with fuel.
After filling up he would then take your money walk back into the shop and bring back your change. This process was time-consuming and contained inefficient waste and cost for the business owner and has since been replaced by self-serve pumps, enabling the operator to work as efficiently as possible. In fact there is no need to even speak to human being anymore when filling up your car with fuel.
A second analogy would be selecting a new computer system. An extreme right and expensive way of looking at this would be to order the machine and to have a Rolls-Royce customer service comprising of an on-site engineer there to fix the problems as and when they arise.
If you didn't want to pay so much then sweeping to the left to reduce costs would be to pay for support from a UK call centre, further sweeping to the left would be a call centre in Mumbai and extreme left lowest cost option would be an online portal whereby you read about the fault and fix it yourself.
The Sweep2Left principle is that the customer has a right to determine the price he or she pays if they want the lowest cost option they have to sweep to the left. Domestic cleaning clients of Maid2Clean are no different. They can choose to pay what they like also.
If they choose to patronise a competitor of Maid2Clean that employ their cleanest directly, or have a huge capital investment in the form of vehicles, equipment, cleaning products and regulatory training etc., or carry cleaners around in vans etc., are all individually sweeping to the right and increasing costs. A combination of all these can easily double the costs compared to the Maid2Clean model -- but the client at the end of the day makes that choice.
So in the industry that Maid2Clean serves, we have chosen not to operate with these inefficiencies and can therefore pass on these savings to the client.
Clients know that Maid2Clean will advertise for a maid on their behalf, interview them in their own homes, take photographs, identification , follow-up on those references, marry them up to the closest geographical client, insure them against damage caused whilst on the premises and replace cleaners if they become Sick or go on holiday or turn out to be the wrong cleaner for the client.
So to conclude, Sweep2Left is all about articulating the Maid2Clean position in the market and client prerogative to choose to pay what they like, but if they want a lower cost quality standard service they will sweep to the left and use Maid2Clean.
