How to find Depth of Beam by Thumb rule
This video shows the method how to find the depth of beam by thumb rule. One can directly find the depth of beam by thumb rule. According to the ACI 318-14 Table .5a, they stated that depth of beam in inches is equal to the length of beam in feet. This method is applicable when you length of beam in feet, if you dont have then you have to first convert to feet. In this video example has been done.
