How to Schedule Automatic Shutdown in Windows 10 and 11 using the run command window
To schedule auto shutdown via Run dialog box, follow this steps.
From the Start menu, open the Run dialog box or you can Press the "Window + R" key to open the RUN window.
Type "shutdown -s -t (number in seconds)" and press Enter Key.
For example, if you want to shut down your PC/laptop after 20 minutes then, type: shutdown -s -t 1200.
In this example, 1200 represents the number of seconds, so in this example your computer will turn off automatically after 20 minutes.
After hitting OK button, the system will prompt you about the auto-shutdown time, as shown here.
And to cancel scheduled shutdown using run dialog box, just type "shutdown -a" and click on the "OK" button. The auto-shutdown schedule or task will be canceled automatically.
