This super-rare base model Vauxhall Cresta offers a huge slab of austerity with a thumping 3.3-litre engine and a surprising turn of speed. I question whether it was modern enough for the time but regardless, it's a great classic to drive today. Note the owner has only recently acquired this car and does plan some improvement works. And yes, there was a taillight out!
