Augie Beta Ended
I'm sharing my thoughts on the recent changes to Augie AI's platform. Augie has officially retired their free beta and launched a new paid service called Augie Studio.
As a former Augie AI beta user, I'm disappointed that we now have to pay a monthly subscription fee to access their AI video creation tools. Augie Studio's pricing seems quite expensive, especially for individual creators and small businesses.
The cheapest "Lite" plan is free but only allows 2 minutes of video per month in 60-second chunks. The "Premium" plan that unlocks more advanced features costs $40 per month, but even at that price, you're capped at just 10 minutes of premium video creation each month!
While Augie Studio does introduce some solid new capabilities like enhanced video editing, an audio studio, live video editing, and more, I have a hard time justifying that $40 price tag for only 10 minutes of video.
In this video, I lay out all the pricing tiers, new features, and my overall thoughts on whether Augie Studio's paid model is worth it for creators like myself. I also discuss potentially having to move back to free video editing tools like CapCut.
Let me know if you agree or disagree with my take!
Are any of you willing to pay for Augie Studio, or will you also be seeking out alternative text-to-video services?
