3D scan of Albatros steam engine | Unreal Engine scene
Albatros steam engine 3D scanned by Artzenal for use in Unreal Engine.
Due to its complex structure, metallic surface and glass it makes a true test for the team for digitalization. They used 18 laser scans positions Faro Focus and more than 45k images taken with Nikon D850 to reconstruct the Albatros in RealityCapture.
The final goal was the bring the steam engine into life as a virtual experience. For this, the model was further optimized for use in Unreal Engine.
