Russia says its economy is growing.
Official figures show GDP expansion, low unemployment and resilience in the face of more than 25,000 Western sanctions.
But Sweden isn't convinced.
Instead of simply accepting the official statistics, Swedish analysts have been using satellite imagery to examine what is actually happening inside Russia. By studying the brightness of cities, industrial areas and commercial districts at night, they believe they can gain a different perspective on the true state of the Russian economy.
