Kentucky Fairgrounds Motor Speedway
Super 8 movie footage taken in the early 70s at The Kentucky Fairgrounds Motor Speedway. This was preseason testing and public viewing of cars for the new season of racing. Therefore figure 8 cars only ran on the oval. The only car I can identify is the 41 car. It is Andy Vertrees. If you know what year this was or any other driver names please add comment.
More info given by frankmicman. "Other drivers in this video: #94 Chevelle was Carl Elwanger, #37 AMC was Bill Clemons and #20 Chevelle was Jerry Norris. I believe this movie was taken in 1974. The older Figure Eight cars practiced on the oval that day, the infield was wet." Thanks Frank.
