How do we perceive our bodies and our own nudity today? When do we approve of it and when do we reject it? When is revealing our bodies safe, natural, and does not violate our boundaries? Experts and participants in the debate titled "Nudity – Beauty or Shame?" sought answers to these questions, among others. This is the final topic of our "Let's Talk About Humans" series, drawing on John Paul II's theology of the body. The debate took place on June 6th at 6:00 PM at Foksal 11.
According to a CBOS study conducted in 2022, the most common (41%) reason cited by young people for sending photos to each other was an attempt to attract attention (hooking up). Sending sexting photos as an attempt to establish a relationship is used more often by boys than by girls. 6% of respondents cited the desire to "show off their bodies" as their reason. The study was conducted on a group of 1,863 people aged 15-19.
