In this project, we build a smart fingerprint-based attendance system using the ESP32-C3 microcontroller and AS608 fingerprint sensor. Every time a fingerprint is scanned, the system automatically sends the user name, ID, date, time, and status (IN/OUT) directly to Google Sheets using Google Apps Script webhooks.
The system also uses a 16×2 LCD display to show messages such as initialization, place finger to scan, and access granted. When a user scans their fingerprint, the data is instantly recorded in the cloud, making the system perfect for attendance tracking, access control, lab entry systems, or employee time management.
