After discovering we accidentally used unmixed epoxy grout—creating a color we can’t even recreate—we’re forced to rethink everything. With no vehicle, limited time, and the pressure to keep moving forward, we explore every option: grinding it out, switching colors, or starting over completely.
From epoxy grout vs cementitious grout, to waterproofing with latex additives, this episode dives deep into the real decisions behind DIY renovation—where every small choice impacts the entire home.
With the help of a neighbor (and later Mario), we test, compare, and debate what matters most: durability, simplicity, cost… or how it actually looks.
In the end, we make a call—and push through to finish both upstairs bedrooms.
