After sleeping on Dimmick Island we continue on our way through Elk River and Ramsey, search for drinking water in Anoka, jump off a home made diving platform and then make it just past the dam in Coon Rapids. We're getting closer to the cities now and there seem to be more and more houses. It feels like we're entering another new section of river.
