How to Connect Kasa Smart Plug to New Wi-Fi
In this video, you'll learn how to reconnect your TP-Link Kasa Smart Plug to new Wi-Fi without losing your existing settings.
Changing the Wi-Fi on your Kasa Smart plug involves long pressing the power button (also the reset button) for 5 seconds—make sure you don't go beyond 5 seconds. This action will reset the current Wi-Fi. Then you can set up the smart plug afresh.
The app will prompt you to 'reset or do not reset your settings.' Choose 'Do not reset' to keep your existing settings such as schedules.
Now you can connect your Kasa Smart Plug Mini to the new Wi-Fi. Make sure your phone is connected to the new Wi-Fi and it's on the 2.4GHz band.
