Element of Theatre Video - Summer 2021
For the final Elements of Theatre session, the Spring Session, the focus was Musical Theatre. In this session the facilitators highlighted a number of famous musicals, they would play the music and tell the stories of the plot while also discussing the different characters. The participants then learned a couple of songs that they performed as a group, with choreography to accompany.
Top 3 highlights and/or successes:
The participants really enjoyed discussing their favourite musicals as well as learning about some musicals that they weren’t familiar with.
Watching the participants get the chance to perform together, even virtually, was very moving.
Saying goodbye at the end of the final session was very dear, everyone reflected on their time together and seemed very grateful for the opportunity to take part in this program, and expressed their excitement for the fall session to hopefully be in person.
