In this tutorial, I show how I created a premium executive landing page for a Power BI operational finance dashboard using HTML, CSS and a DAX measure rendered through the HTML Content visual.
The example uses the fictional Atlas Commodities Group and demonstrates how a report landing page can communicate report identity, executive purpose, the operational journey and navigation in a more polished way than a collection of standard text boxes and shapes.
You will see how to:
• Structure an effective prompt for generating the landing-page design
• Convert HTML and CSS into a DAX text measure
• Add and configure the HTML Content visual in Power BI
• Fit the design to a standard 16:9 Power BI canvas
• Use DAX variables to make report text dynamic
• Troubleshoot model-dependent references such as SELECTEDVALUE
Important: The HTML Content visual shown in this video is a third-party custom visual. Review your organization's governance and security requirements before using any custom visual in a production report.
The Atlas Commodities Group project and data shown in this tutorial are fictional and created for demonstration purposes.
